The Selection Instrumental Beats

By Delroy Wilkins

If you are a hip hop artist trying to create beats and instrumentals for sale, knowing that you have chosen the right beat can be a difficult process. Some artists can easily choose a beat and instrumentals to use alongside their lyrics. You might find it difficult doing this and asking why this is so. First, you need to know that everyone cannot have the same gift and not every rapper can identify the best beats for a song. Some of the great hip hop artists skilled in beat and instrumental selection have had to train hard for years before being able to easily identify the right beats.

The beat and instrumentals selection method considered simplest involves first listening to samples before writing lyrics to accompany the chosen beats. Artists find it simple because lyrics tend to come out far more easily after you identify good beats and instrumentals. With this method, the beats form the foundation upon which you write your lyrics. You just have to find the right beat and then write the lyrics that come to mind.

There's another beat and instrumentals selection method preferred by most rappers. This method involves writing the hip hop song lyrics without first listening to a beat. Once the song is complete, all the artist needs to do is search for beats and instrumentals that best match the lyrics. Most hip hop artists find this method advantageous as it allows them to concentrate on their lyrics and determining the flow of their song. This is as opposed to writing lyrics that concentrate more on the beats.

Choosing the right beats and instrumentals to accompany your lyrics creates the greatest impression especially if your goal is making hits and getting a following. You can easily find hundreds of sample beats online from major websites. Some of these websites are free to use. Some even allow you to edit the sample beats to make them unique. Editing allows you to mix up a couple of samples and come up with unique beats and instrumentals.

Once you have downloaded a few samples, you can easily edit and mix them to come up with your own beat. Don't hesitate to try out other genres such as RnB, jazz and pop to create unique beats! You'll be surprised at how many good betas have been created by just mixing a hip hop beat with beats from other genres. If you want to sell your beats, set up a website and then sell them from there. To get your content to the right buyers, it's advisable to learn some internet marketing tricks. This will help you to market you beats to the world.
