The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES By Carole A. Western

By Stacey Massey

A fantastic new fantasy thriller series has just been introduced that is sure to provide supernatural fans with something they have been craving but did not even realize was missing until now. The British born author Dr. Carole Ann Western has unleashed a world filled with characters so unique that readers will be mesmerized from the start. The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES is surely destined to be tops in the genre.

The series revolves around the life and adventures of the seven Karazan brothers, ancient vampires unlike any who have been written about before. They live by the code that fangs are strictly for defense and the fight for survival, choosing to use unique talents as the method by which they obtain the blood they require. Their differences are part of what makes their stories so much more fascinating.

A different brother's adventures will be featured in each installment of this series. They have spent several thousand years keeping low profiles and going undetected but that does not mean their lives have been docile or boring. Each new tome will be filled to the brim with supernatural thrills, breathtaking suspense, epic battles, murder, greed, battles for control as well as ill fated yet eternal love.

The premier book is titled Fire Goddess and was released by Outskirts Press, Inc. In early 2013. This story features the first of the brothers, Alon, who is ruthless, greedy and willing to do whatever he must to protect his fortune. Set in the tropical wonderland of the Hawaiian Islands, there is no shortage of heart pounding moments.

As the story begins, Aimee McKenzie is living in Star Valley, Wyoming with the grandfather who raised her after the loss of her parents. She receives an unexpected invitation from her Grandfather Kulana who lives in Hawaii and whom she has never before had any form of contact at all. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about her Polynesian heritage and accepts the offer with little hesitation.

Unfortunately for Aimee, her time on the island is not going to be all hugs and happy reunions. The cousin she never knew existed is not at all pleased to have her there and is planning to kill her so that he remains the sole heir to the Kulana riches. This is Alon and he is filled with jealousy and centuries of determination which makes him a very dangerous foe.

Polihanu, the most compassionate of the four sisters known as the Fire Goddesses feels a bond with Aimee and orders her servant, Kiyoto do do what is necessary to keep the young woman safe from Alon and the others who wish her dead. Through their journey, the mortal and the immortal find themselves tangled in an epic, though forbidden love affair. This poses great issues for the benefactor goddess.

While Kiyoto faces Alon, Pele, witches, demons, fire hounds and other supernaturals who all desire to kill Aimee, Polihanu must make difficult decisions and find a creative way to keep her servant and his charge alive. The characters are loaded with personality and the story lines are written in such a way that they become so realistic. The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES is an incredibly intriguing new series that is filled with plot twists, profound love and intense hate, all of which are sure to hook readers.
