Where to Get Music Downloads for MP3 Players

By Marcus Anthony

Times have changed a lot since the times when music downloads were out there for free for everyone to just go download. Remember when everyone just logged on to Napster and had their choice of all of the free tracks they wanted. That was nice wasn't it? Well, that was followed by loads of lawsuits and the government cracking down. There is still some free music out there, but it is much more controlled than it used to be.

Is anyone even able to get free music at this point? Well, for the most part, no. There are many promotions out there that allow people to get music at very cheap prices and sometimes it is at a very cheap rate. For example Lady Gaga has given away her newest album for just $2. While it's not free this is much cheaper than albums were in the past.

So a way to get all of the music out there for free no longer exists. The way to do this no longer exists legally, at least. There are programs out there that enable people to get music for free. One way they do it is by taking the audio from a YouTube video and using it to create an audio track. The user is then able to name the audio track and add it to a library. Pretty sneaky isn't it?

One plus to buying music electronically is that it is cheaper than it is when everyone was forced to purchase CD's. A new release CD used to cost around $20. While there are some deluxe versions of albums that can be close to that, normally when someone purchases an album electronically, it will be under $10. For instance I just purchased the new Wiz Khalifa album for $6.99.

There are other things that improved now that music is mostly bought digitally. Having an electronic library of music certainly has its perks. For one thing, the user does not have to worry about the disc being damaged or losing them while moving. The convenience is a huge factor. While the people are not able to get the music for free, it is easier to get now than ever and the music can be taken in the car and on the cell phone, basically anywhere.
