There are crucial details about the war scenario that are a preserve of the soldiers. This experience has resulted in the following best sellers.

No Fortunate Son written by Taylor Brad- the development of characters and a plot that is both tight and thrilling ushers this book into New York Times Best Sellers list. This is attributed to the experience that Taylor gathered in war fronts over twenty one years. It is inspired by the capture of a non-significant soldier who the ranks and file go all-out to rescue. Taylor presents the intrigues of a soldier who is related to a prominent national figure.

Autumn fire by Tom Wither- the thriller involves military intelligence with content inspired by his decades in a shadowy world. Unlike the fictional scenes in Jason Bourne and James Bond movies, he uses scenarios that are broadcast on news. It recreates the rebirth of al-Qaeda under Aziz that attacks the national electric grid. A unit is formed to pursue the leader of the group. This journey is eventful and thrilling to read.

Battle Come Down by Flower Charlie- this novel is the fourth in a series drawn from the war on terrorism. The author begins in London that is on the verge of being grounded because of terrorism. It is interesting to walk with a soldier who was trained by extremists but now works with the forces in London. The wife is both a hindrance and an incredible asset in this war. Despite violence spreading allover the world, love prevails.

Days of Rage by Brad Taylor- the author has put together heart thumping action that is delivered through insane heroics. The fun in the novel is also satisfying to the adventurous mind. It is about a unit that is used to hunting dangerous criminals but this time, they are being hunted. It takes you to Nigeria in the caves of Boko Haram who have weapons of mass destruction from Russia. It is interesting to see how the quagmire resolves.

Sand and Fire authored by Tom Young- the scenes in this novel are as vivid as what happens when news breaks. It is a fast paced novel featuring jihadist attacks on two international centers where hostages are marines. The extremists have vowed to execute a marine every day until their demands are met. Diplomats and soldiers are working overtime to resolve the crisis.

Secret Assault by Helin Don- this novel is based on the Vietnamese war. A massacre happened in My Lai but the military did their best to conceal it. A letter to a congressional representative by one soldier gives away the details. Through the novel, you can feel the divisions in support and against the Vietnamese war.

Military action and intelligence has inspired numerous novels. It is the vividness and fictional accuracy of the authors that makes a novel outstanding. Editing may eliminate typos and syntax errors, but there are scenarios that can only be captured by an experienced soldier. This explains why former soldier dominate the list of best sellers in this category.
