Paul Rudd And His Funniest Films In Recent Memory

By Derek Cooper

Paul Rudd is one actor who is constantly showing up on the big screen. He has been around for many years, but in recent years he has become one of the prominent faces of Hollywood comedies. Chances are, if there was a funny movie to come out in the last five years, Paul Rudd is in it.

But which of his movies are the best? Here are some of my favorite Paul Rudd movies of the past few years.

The first movie that I will mention is Role Models. This movie stars Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott as a duo of troublemaking adults, who end up having to enroll in the big brothers little brothers program in order to avoid jail time. Hilarity ensues.

No list of Paul Rudd films would be complete without giving some love to Clueless. This is one of the most over the top yet hilarious depictions of high school and featured Alicia Silverstone when she was on top of the world. This movie still retains its hilarity.

Another movie that I definitely have to include on this list is Wet Hot American Summer. This movie is one of my all time favorite comedies and Rudd is only part of the reason why. If you like dry films focusing around summer camp in the 1980s, look no further.

While he was not the main star, one movie that featured Paul Rudd that I absolutely loved was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. This film stars Jason Segal, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis and Russell Brand, and also has great roles from Rudd and Jonah Hill, amongst others. This is easily one of my favorite comedies of the past few years.

Anchorman is another film that certainly makes my list. This one might be my favorite Paul Rudd movie of any. Even more than five years after its release, you still hear people quote the iconic Will Ferrell character all the time.

So these are most of Paul Rudd's funniest and enjoyable films to date. There is no doubt that there will be others to add to this list in the next few years.
