How To Create Crime Thriller Novels

By Sherry Gross

If you are planning to write these things, then there are some points that you need to know. What most people fail to notice in the novels that they are reading is that they all somehow follow a specific pattern. Thus, if you want to be one of the best writers in your town or even in your country, then continue reading the paragraphs below.

First of all, create that pulsing rate in the veins of each one of your audience. However, never go to the extremes when it comes to this step. Always keep in mind that you are shaping crime thriller novels not stories which are full of ghosts and countless horror scenarios. Learn the differences among all of those things.

Second, push them to have a very wide imagination. People read books for a wide range of reasons. However, for thriller creations, it is all about the high set of sensations that you can get out of them. If they do not make you feel any kind of emotion, then they are not worth reading. Always keep this in mind when you are already in the middle of your manuscript.

Third, make sure that your audience will lose sleep because of the pages that you have worked so hard on. If you have already reached that stage, then there is a great possibility that you will soon be one of the best selling authors in your country. So, just follow all the instructions of your publisher and polish your work even more.

If you are also able to make these individuals forget their subway stop, then that would be an advantage on your part. It is plain to see that these people are already hooked on your work. Thus, you can expect them to buy the rest of the items which can be found in the series that you have just released.

On the other hand, continue leading your audience on. Leave them hanging if you have to. Remember that reading is a continual process. If you give them everything in one go, then they no longer have anything to look forward to. They will dismiss your work immediately and they will not talk about it among their friends.

However, try to keep things in moderation. Your audience do not need to know the amount of blood which is flowing from the neck of the victim. Simply try your best in preventing things from being too visual. Keep in mind that this is a thriller and a crime book that you are working on and those two elements can be very powerful when combined.

Just have a very interesting piece. Read it for a couple of times before you submit the final draft to your editor. This will help reduce the number of the revisions that you have to conduct after the review.

Lastly, consider the budget of your targeted audience. If you want a wide range of people to recognize your hard work, then settle for an affordable rate. You can go for a higher price if your novel is already a huge hit in bookstores nationwide.
