Most big companies hold various gatherings to either discuss about a launching of a new product or a formal thanksgiving to a particular arm of the company. These are attended by everyone in the company including the big bosses and the VIP clients. Several reasons come to mind as to why these gatherings are conducted. One reason for this is promotion. Trade shows are conducted for product launching and reintroduction of current services. Everyone is expected to show courtesy in a party such as this. Most gatherings have a seat plan for guests to converse with other people. Do not cause a scene by insisting to sit with another person other than the one beside you. When dinner is served, eat only when everyone else starts eating.
