Have You Thought About CD Duplication? Have a Look Here.

By Brad Cairns

CD duplication became effective after 20 years of continuous effort. Today it is very cost effective as there are better tools available for it and it can be done in the comforts of one's home. With the use of modern software and hardware technologies the duplicated products are not shabby either. Earlier only in the readable format CDs were available.

Later due to the growing demand of the customers the manufacturers produced CDs that could be easily encoded. With this facility any computer operator could easily duplicate the CD. The first question that arises in our mind is what CD duplication means. Creating exact photocopies of the originals is meant by duplication. Within a short time many copies of a master disc can be created. Exact replicas are these copies of the master.

For CD duplication all you need is a reliable computer, a burner, CD writer and data management software. If you are copying data files you can choose data CD or if you are copying music files you can choose music CD. The speed for burning CD can also be selected with most of the software's. When compared to the faster speeds the slower speeds produces fewer errors and so it is advised that this has to be chosen.

What a CD burner does is another question that arises. It actually operates as a photocopier. It can be an external writable drive or built into the PC. Today many systems come with built in CD drives and burners. The CD burner uses a moving laser like a regular CD player . Both read and write laser is present in it. A blank CD is used for write laser option. The laser light changes the surface of the disc and alters it.

CD duplication is done by copying the data from the owner disc to a blank CD. CD write or CD re writable can be this blank disc. The content of the data will not be changed by copying the data. You cannot make modifications or delete anything.

You can copy the data after erasing the old one however in CD-RW again and again. The speed at which CD duplication is done matters a lot. This speed may be the speed of the CD burner itself, speed of the copy disc and speed of the connection between your PC and CD burner.
