Tips On Making Of Paper Beads

By Lisa Brooks

Have you tried making a paper bracelet? Well, if not then there is a guide into how you can do this with the shortest time possible. All that you will need will be that old sheet magazine, that old calendar or even that junk mail that you disposed of. From here, you can be in a position to make the best writing sheet bracelets and necklaces. Keep reading to know more about the paper beads.

The first step that comes into play will be getting the sheet materials. Well, this is a project and for any project, you need the right supplies. They will include the invalid calendars and the read mail. When you get the material right, then I can assure you that the project will be very cheap since you will buy nothing for the stores.

The second thing on the supply list will be the writing sheet cutter among other items. The sheet cutter will be crucial in cutting the shapes you want. In addition, you will have to look for toothpicks, glue stick, clear nail polish. All these are items that you can find in the house or borrow from the neighbors for that project to be cheap.

After you are done prepping, cut the magazine pages into strips. If you have other sheet, you just cut it the same way. You will cut the pages in half, or even cut the whole page into quarter strips, the way you fancy it. Then cut the half pages into diagonal shapes where you will get the triangular shaped paper strips.

The other step will include rolling and applying glue. This is the most technical part of this whole project. The fact is that you have to make sure that you get the whole thing right before you may proceed. Take one toothpick and one sheet strip. Roll the wide need of the paper round the toothpick. Take the glue, apply on the remaining part of the writing sheet strip and make one rotation. Firmly roll the paper on the toothpick with your hand. Remove the toothpick.

Now you can seal the sheet. One thing with sheet is that when it comes into contact with water, then it gets spoil. You certainly do not want this. Get some nail polish and put it on the writing sheet. With this, it will act as a coating and if water comes into contact with a bead, then it will not do some real damage.

You can now string the beads. The final play of making the bracelet will be quite easy. Just take a stringing cord that will vary with the size of your neck. Well, if it is for a kid, the size will be quite small. Organize your beads into your preferred color order. Put the cord through the hole made by the toothpick.

You can also create several knots to help you tie the cord well. In addition, you have your bracelet. You can put it on and try the new look. If it is too fitting then you can adjust on the knots.
