The good things about this generation and time, people have become more open to the difference within each one and have embrace this fact the deepest core in their human values. What is the difference in culture back then and now. That the then, could not accept diversity of culture. You ask yourself what it is, that made society so bias against other culture and other people from different parts of the world.
Why people act the way they did, to be able to treat a fellow human being as a slave, as a thing that can be replaced anytime. If you re read the course of history, you would be confused as to why people back then could be so cruel, exchanging a living breathing human being for money.
It does not mean that the moment you learn about other culture, you need to forget about your own. There is this thought that in experience we learn, but it does not mean that you have to forget what you have known your whole life.
