A Variety Of The Greatest Movies From The Troubled Actor, Mel Gibson

By Keith Johnson

Regardless of how we feel about the guy, Mel Gibson is one actor who has had his fair share of incredible movies. Whether those movies will have the same replay value remains to be seen. I have personally not tried to watch a Mel Gibson movie in quite some time. But regardless, up until recently, I would have to consider him to be one of my favorite actors.

But which of Mel's films were his best? Here are my personal favorites.

The first film that I will mention on this list is Signs. People don't seem to be the biggest fan of M. Night Shymalan these days, but I thought this was one of his better films. It probably could have used more aliens and less dialogue.

Braveheart is easily my favorite Mel Gibson movie of all time. Even with everything that has happened with Mr. Gibson recently, this is still one of my top ten favorite movies ever. If you are looking to see one of the better films of all time, here it is.

Another movie that I am not ashamed to admit I liked was What Women Want. This movie had the makings of a romantic comedy, but it was rated R so I had faith. It is actually a pretty enjoyable movie, and a very funny concept.

It is tough to make a list of Mel Gibson's greatest films without including a movie form the Lethal Weapon franchise. My personal favorite was Lethal Weapon 4. This movie also stars Danny Glover, Joe Pesci and Jet Li.

Finally, I will include The Patriot as one of my favorite Mel Gibson movies. Mel stars as a war veteran who must lead a resistance against British rule around the time of the Revolutionary War. Heath Ledger is in this film as well, and is great.

As you can see, regardless of what Mel Gibson has said or done recently, he has had his fair share of great movies.
